How to avoid a blocked drain

Last month we were called out to a property to unblock both storm water and sewer pipes after decades of root growth. After using our trusty jet blaster and electric eel, we retrieved 7 metres of 3cm thick roots (pictured below).

When landscaping your home be aware of your pipe location. Tree roots LOVE pipes because they contain water, nutrients and oxygen. Tree roots can cause extensive damage to underground pipes costing you thousands in repairs.

Like always, prevention is better than cure so think twice before planting that Norfolk Pine.
